LINKS FOR PHUKET INFO & HISTORY

Deciding to do a bit of research on Phuket's history this morning, I found a couple of good sites.  Wikipedia has the best introduction to the island that I've seen and can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phuket.  And, the Phuket Guide has a VERY extensive history of the province here: http://www.phuket-guide.net/phuket_history/index.htm.  I hope you will click on these links, read the articles, and find them as interesting as I do.

I've also been thinking about including links to maps in some of my blog entries so that you can know where some of the locations are that I write about.  I have yet to find an online map as good as the ThinkNet software I have installed on my laptop so, perhaps, I'll scan some sections of that map that I can upload when needed.  I'll save that "project" for another day...
